- To facilitate the development of new cultural tourism experiences
within Ontario's cities
- To generate interest in and awareness of Ottawa's newest winter
experience known as Winter Solstice
- To attract mature travel-seekers to the region in order to offer
them the opportunity for personal fulfillment and enrichment in
the cold of winter
- To create the opportunity for repeat yet unique cultural heritage experiences
in Canada's capital region during the winter season
- To highlight the various sectors of tourism in a unique and enticing
manner To develop a website that would allow consumers to customize their
visit to the Ottawa region
Project:
- Brought together cultural, heritage and tourism partners from around
the Ottawa region in order to create and maintain an alliance
- Developed a wide range of packages that offer a variety of experiences
for the mature travel-seeker
- Organized, planned and coordinated the launch of Winter Solstice at the
National Arts Centre
- Created and managed the development of the official
Winter Solstice website
- Generated a wide variety of media contacts including those in Upper
New York and Quebec
- Positioned Winter Solstice as the ideal product
for those looking to find something new and enriching

- Increased awareness of Ottawa the region as the destination of
choice for tourists in the winter months Increased awareness of the
